Congratulations for having the courage to stand up and be counted as humanity's first and last line of defense against extinction at the hands of the Cylon.

The Mjolnir BSR-37, a Mercury Class Battlestar, is the Pittsburgh Chapter of the Colonial Defense Forces or CDF. The CDF was founded in 2005 to be the first “Active Membership”, “Fan Driven”, “Chapter Based” fan club for Battlestar Galactica. In the 2 years since it's inception the CDF has grown to over 1000 members world wide, with chapters in the USA, The UK, France, Germany,Turkey, and Australia just to name a few. In addition the CDF is growing in notoriety as a fan organization and has just partnered with the Battlestar Fanclub.com to expand our overall impact in the growing BSG fan base.

The Battlestar Mjolnir is an all ages, (and all age appropriate), organization of like minded individuals who come together to enjoy fellowship and camaraderie based on their enjoyment of Battlestar Galactica, and science fiction in general. The Chapter is organized upon a paramilitary structure to reflect what is seen every week in the series. There are officers and enlisted, Viper Jocks and Marines, as well as civilians and a civilian government. We even have a few Cylon Agents who will be named later.

Role play is part of the fun, but not mandatory. You can also become a member and take part in as much or as little of the role play as you desire with active and associate member classifications. Remember this is a fun organization and you will not be asked to do anything that you are not comfortable with.
