SHIPS CODE OF CONDUCT

By Terri Graham

Every member no matter race, color, creed, religion, or species will be given the respect due them as a sentient being.

Meetings: This is a pseudo-military organization. As such members will be expected to behave in a manner that does not reflect badly on the organization. Since we may attract young members our language should reflect that fact. Cursing should be avoided, no off color or sexual innuendo while discussions, and NO ethnic or racial comments or humor.

LEAVE ALL PREJUDICES AT HOME!

There is no dress code, but clothing is to be worn at all times.

During meetings to avoid confusion please wait to be recognized by the chair before speaking. Discussion is welcome, but try to refrain from unnecessary arguing. Everyone has a right to his/her/its opinion.

Events: (General - All members)

Once you have your uniform you will be expected to wear it at events - uniforms are to be clean and pressed, shoes should be shined and all appropriate insignia in place.

While in uniform you are to act in a manner that brings respect to the organization.

No - Cussing, fighting, inappropriate horseplay, or public intoxication. Remember you represent all of us. There will be times when functions will be geared either for younger members or toward adult members. At youth oriented events all behavior will reflect that fact. Rules at adult functions will be a little more relaxed. depending on the situation alcohol MAY be permitted (Only to members old enough to drink)

Under no circumstances will illegal drugs be tolerated at any event, meeting or club function.
If you carry a weapon (whether real or fake) you must keep it secured at all times. Unless you are required by law to carry a firearm at all times.

PLEASE DO NOT BRING IT TO MEETINGS

GENERAL POSTING RULES FOR THE CCN

By Admiral Alison Merritt

All members AT ALL TIMES will treat each with respect and courtesy.

At no time will any member make degrading, derogatory or discriminating comments to or about another member.

Disagreements, although unfortunate, can be expected within such a large organization. If you find yourself in such a situation DO NOT air your grievances in an open public forum such as the Colonial Communications Network (CCN) or the CDF Yahoo group. Any problem that you have should be attempted to be resolved in private with the member in question. If this is unsuccessful approach either your Chapter or Fleet CO, whichever is applicable. If this not possible for any reason and you can see no resolution to your situation contact Fleet Command, Fleet Operations or Fleet Communications.

ROLE PLAY POSTING RULES

In addition to the above mentioned rules the following rules will apply to any and all RP's on the CCN.

No member should be feeling pressured or compelled to participate in an RP occurring in their chapter or fleet.

There will be NO Chapter vs. Chapter, BSR vs. BSR, Squadron vs. Squadron etc. RP's.

No chapter/BSR will be 'Boarded' by the crew of any other chapter.

No chapter/BSR commander will be 'Relieved of Command' by any member of any other chapter (including the Fleet CO).

No 'Hostages' will be taken and no member will be pressured to 'Jump Ship' or 'Mutiny' by a member of any other chapter/BSR.Any breach of any of the above points will lead to your posts being deleted and possible suspension from the CCN
